Eames produced his Aluminium Group: chairs with a single fine seat/back element in horizontally seamed fabric or vinyl coverings over vinyl-coated fabric over vinyl foam.
This element with its cast aluminium supporting frame was used with a wide variety of bases and at different angles and heights producing an extremely flexible range of chairs suited to every conceivable purpose.
